Brent grew up in Markham, Ontario in a large family. Despite growing up in the urban lifestyle of the Greater Toronto Area, Brent always dreamed of living in Alberta. In 2004 Brent finally realized this dream and moved the Sexsmith with his family, beginning his career as a carpenter with Dueck Brothers Construction, building stunning custom homes in the Grande Prairie area.

Not long after moving to Grande Prairie, Brent invested in an acreage in the Webster Area. He used his skills and talents to build a beautiful home out of a condemned property, ripping apart and refinishing the home as well as refurbishing the well, septic and land on the property. These valuable skills have served him well in his community as he is well known for his talents in thawing out frozen septic lines and helping his neighbours with various acreage woes. Brent currently remains on this property with his wife and 6 children.

Brent is also well known for his affinity for hunting, reloading and gunsmithing. Living in rural Alberta has been a life long dream and he takes advantage of it!

In 2020 Brent was diagnosed with Osteo-Arthritis in his hands which promptly ended his career as a carpenter. That did not dampen his love of his career so after a short stint of staying home with the family, Brent pursued the next best thing- home inspection!
